Painting by Enspirati Artist Raises $6,000 for Charity

Anne Kavanagh's painting "Out of the Darkness", was commissioned by G.A.M.E. for the purpose of auctioning it for charity at the Tampa movie premier of "Midnight Clear" on December 18th at the Tampa Theatre.  The movie stars Steven Baldwin
(The Usual Suspects) is written by Jerry Jenkins (the Left Behind series) and directed by his son, Dallas Jenkins.

Anne, who is a member of Enspirati was thrilled to witness her painting auctioned by celebrity barkers Cynthia Smoot of Fox 13 and Stephen Baldwin. The final bid of $6,000.00 by Jim and Michelle Austin of Tampa awarded them the coveted painting.  Anne’s watercolor portrayal of two people moving away from darkness, into the light is an inspiring scene on paper.

The entire evening was magical, with a V.I.P. reception held in the lobby of the Tampa Theatre before the screening with special guests Stephen Baldwin, Jerry Jenkins and Dallas Jenkins in attendance to sign autographs and pose for pictures.

All the profits went to The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay, a non profit organization dedicated to mental wellness.  Several sponsors supported this event with their generous contributions including The Bank of Florida, Renaissance Tampa Hotel and the Pelagia Trattoria restaurant with  delicious hors d’oevres , Rehabber's Superstore, Covington Mortgage, media sponsors The Tampa Tribune and the Tampa Bay Business Journal,  Jacqui Knight of Knight Owl Communications, Downtown Tampa Partnership, Ybor Chamber of Commerce, Centre Club, University of South Florida, University of Tampa, National Society of Hispanic MBA’s (NSHMBA), South Tampa Chamber of Commerce, Somebody Cares Tampa Bay, Evelyn Hale, Monroe E. and Suzette M. Berkman Foundation, Inc., Ray and Nancy Murray, and Brad Frederick of National Distribution.  "We are very pleased", said the director of the non profit center Dennis Ross, "this is the most money that a charity event has raised for the Crisis Center."
