Barbara Nadrotoska

Barbara was born an artist and showed pre-school interest in drawing and painting. As a young child she also showed interest in carving figures out of soap bars. In high school she won an art scholarship to Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York and received a BFA. Barbara lived in New York City for 10 years where she absorbed the art and culture. While living in New York her art evolved from 2-D canvases to her current relief paintings. Barbara relocated to Sarasota Florida in 1976 for health reasons. In Sarasota she was part of the Women's Arts Group and exhibited at the Women's Center Art Gallery. Barbara moved to Tampa in from the University of South Florida, graduating in 1989. She currently teaches art at a private school.
